Terms of service

By creating a Rank Optimizer account, connecting a Google Business Profile, or purchasing any plan, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you're using Rank Optimizer on behalf of a business, you confirm you have the authority to bind that business to these terms.

Rank Optimizer provides done-for-you local SEO for small businesses in Canada: Google Business Profile optimization and upkeep, citation building across local directories, review-generation campaigns, and grid-based local rank tracking and reporting. Specific features depend on the plan you purchase — features shown as “coming soon” aren't included until they launch.

You need an account to use Rank Optimizer. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at support@rankoptimizer.ca if you suspect unauthorized access.

• Prices are listed and billed in Canadian dollars (CAD).
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing or purchasing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable setup fee and/or recurring subscription.
• Subscription plans bill automatically on a recurring basis (monthly, or as stated at purchase) until cancelled.
• One-time services, such as a citation build, are billed once, up front.
• If a payment fails, we may pause or limit your access to the service until it’s resolved.

• Cancel a subscription any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you won’t be charged again.
• We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee: if you don’t see ranking improvement within 30 days on an active plan, contact support@rankoptimizer.ca for a full refund.
• One-time setup fees for work already delivered — for example, citations already submitted — are non-refundable once delivered, except as required by law or under the guarantee above.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for a business you don’t own or aren’t authorized to represent.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information to directories, Google, or review platforms.
• Interfere with, reverse-engineer, or overload our systems.
• Use the service to send unsolicited or unlawful communications, including review requests to people who haven’t done business with you.
• Use the service in a way that violates Google’s, Stripe’s, or any connected platform’s own terms of service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

When you connect your Google Business Profile, you authorize Rank Optimizer to read and update it on your behalf, as described in our privacy policy. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us to publish. We rely on Google, Stripe, and other third-party platforms to deliver parts of the service; we aren't responsible for outages, policy changes, or account actions taken by those platforms that are outside our control — for example, Google requiring re-verification after certain address changes.

Rank Optimizer, our software, designs, and content — excluding your own business data — are owned by us or our licensors. You keep ownership of the content and business information you provide; you grant us the right to use it to deliver the service, such as publishing an approved post to your Business Profile.

We work hard to improve your local search visibility, but we don't control Google's ranking algorithm, other directories, or how customers search — so we can't guarantee a specific rank, review count, or amount of traffic. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties beyond those that can't be excluded by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rank Optimizer isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms, for non-payment, or if we discontinue the service, with notice where reasonably possible. On termination, we'll stop billing you and disconnect any Google Business Profile access still connected.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We'll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date — continued use of the service after a change means you accept the update.
